Cook’s Comments:
I’ve been baking chocolate chip cookies almost as long as I’ve been eating them. They are by far my favorite snack. My recipe is a twist on traditional recipes – the basics are the same but I’ve tweaked a few ingredients to create what is, in my humble opinion, one of the best tasting chocolate chip cookies ever! I go a little light on the flour to produce a chewier and less cake-like cookie. I’ve added dark brown sugar to the mix, and I use a bit more vanilla than most recipes I’ve seen. I also use a mix of regular semisweet and dark chocolate chips to give the cookies a much richer flavor. The hint of cinnamon gives the cookie a nice finish. These cannot be beat hot from the oven. Bet you can’t eat just one!
