Mr. Wright serves as the Chief Information (CIO) and the High Impact Technology Solutions Business Unit Vice President at Sev1Tech.
As Chief Information Officer (CIO) & Vice President of the High Impact Technology Business Unit for Sev1Tech, Martin Wright helps Sev1Tech customers overcome the challenges they face today in enterprise IT platforms, cloud services, advanced network engineering, cyber-security, data center and application migration, financial controls, and risk management. With his global perspective and experience, Martin Wright is responsible for all Commercial engagements, while overseeing the company’s IT functions as well as serving as the liaison between technology and business operations. Mr. Wright has been instrumental in establishing the Colorado based business unit and currently leads our operations in the West. Mr. Wright is responsible for providing the strategic direction on all aspects of technology frameworks and IT platforms while managing the development, and capabilities of Sev1Tech’s leading edge engineers.
Prior to joining Sev1Tech, Martin served as the Global Chief Information Officer for AEA, a $250M International professional services company. At AEA he directed all initiatives related to IT infrastructure, transformation, technology partnerships, and customer product development. He provided technology expertise for AEA group’s global network and IT operations and managed global multi-site data centers for corporate and customer-hosted information systems. Martin was also responsible for systems enterprise architecture, network design and operations, system configuration management, and information assurance as well as ensuring alignment between technology and business requirements and processes. As a member of executive management teams across US and UK, he controlled a $10M global IT budget and managed 50 direct reports. While at AEA Martin reduced annual IT budgets by $2.3M at AEA Technologies via strategic partnerships, technology alliances, contract renegotiations, and effective resource allocation. He also spearheaded international IT transformation through consolidating multi-regional IT teams into global team with “follow the sun” support, eliminating additional costs of $475K to business. Additionally, at AEA, Martin championed the on-boarding of 1,000+ users to a consolidated group platform, reduced annual licensing costs by $520K and provide IT Leadership for all M&A activities
Mr. Wright was selected as CIO of the Year – Smart CEO Washington Executive Management Awards
While at Sev1Tech Martin successfully lead the migration over 10,000 plus assets using the company developed Sev1Tech data center migration methodology for the Office of Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) Consolidating 3 Federal Data Centers in to one migrating over 2000 assets.
Mr. Wright holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in integrated studies from George Mason University. He actively participates in industry and community associations, has served on the Board of Directors for Leadership Fairfax Inc. (LFI) and as a member within the American Council for Technology – Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC).
