Sev1Tech to Support U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Division

November 20, 2018

Woodbridge, VA – As base facilities and infrastructure continue to age; reliability, maintainability, and sustainability are consistent logistics concerns for the United States Air Force (USAF). To solve these mission challenges and improve warfighter readiness, Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) has awarded Sev1Tech a prime contract to provide Energy and Infrastructure Resilience Programming Support (EIRPS) services to the Civil Engineer Division. Work will take place at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado.

Under the EIRPS program, Sev1Tech will provide civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering expertise as well as staffing support to enable energy assurance and modernize base infrastructure. AFSPC considers the improvements to its facilities, infrastructure, and systems to be a critical step in ensuring resilient and affordable space capabilities for the Joint Force and Nation.

“The addition of our highly skilled engineers and program managers to the Civil Engineer Division team will greatly improve the program office’s ability to provide space and mission support to Air Force operations worldwide” said Tracey Hayes, VP of U.S. Air Force and Space Missions at Sev1Tech. “The increased capabilities brought to the program by Sev1Tech’s team provides an opportunity to increase the reliability of space programs as well as increase the response rate to the ever-increasing needs of space surveillance and satellite tracking.”

The five-year contract covers a broad range of tasks, including requirements analysis, infrastructure development, budgetary planning, project management and data management. Sev1Tech will use state-of-the-art designs, systems engineering, and new technologies developed on similar programs.

“We’ve been supporting the Air Force through other programs for several years now – improving processes and integrating new technologies,” explains Brian McIntyre, Senior Vice President of Sev1Tech’s DoD Business Unit. “This program will allow us to continue and expand our efforts, improving reliability and maintainability for our Nation’s warfighters by offering mission assurance with maximum uptime of essential weapon and defense systems.”
