June 13, 2016, Woodbridge VA – Sev1Tech, Sev1Tech, Inc., a leader in providing IT, engineering, and program management services to government and commercial clients, today announced that it has been ranked as the #2 best place to work in IT in the category of Small Business. This is the second consecutive year that Sev1Tech has been ranked as #2, and the third consecutive year that they have been listed among the top 3 in this category.
Since 1994, Computerworld’s annual Best Places to Work in IT feature has ranked the top 100 work environments for technology professionals. The list is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, training, and retention. In-depth surveys of IT workers are conducted and their responses factor heavily in determining the rankings. Each year, only 100 organizations are selected by the Computerworld editorial team to receive this prestigious award.
Sev1Tech has been acknowledged on Computerworld’s list for the past three years. In 2014, they ranked #3 in small business overall with the additional rankings of #2 in the country for retention and #5 in the country for training. In 2015 Sev1Tech moved up a ranking to #2 in small business overall and ranked #6 in employee training. This year, in 2016, Sev1Tech was again chosen as the #2 best place to work in the small business category.

With employees that are happy and satisfied, we are able to provide customers with a more reliable and knowledgeable workforce – leading to lower turnover, improved performance, and fewer risks.”
As Sev1Tech recently novated onto the One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) contracting vehicle, they are currently focused on expanding current offerings into new agencies, such as the Department of Defense (DoD) and Defense Health Agency (DHA). The recognition received from this award, coupled with a 96% retention rate over the past 4 years, will enable Sev1Tech to attract and retain the top talent in the industry and provide these new customers with solutions and approaches to optimize performance and lower costs.
